Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki Hotel

I’m not normally the type to leave reviews, but I had a great time here that was too worth writing about! The staff was wonderful (especially Sina and Lance!) and were incredibly accommodating and helpful in making this vacation easy. From free luggage storage after checkout to a great massage place in the lobby, this hotel was a hidden gem. Stellar walkability to local restaurants and 5 minutes from the beach, making this is a great local option. Thanks to the team for making this a great vacation!

I booked this hotel a few months in advance, remembering it from previous family staying here for a good cost, and also having a good experience. I did get a little uneasy checking the reviews as me and my partners stay approached (many people were not seeming super happy recently in the reviews due to; staff, extra costs, elevators, cleanliness). Although from our arrival to departure it was a great stay. The staff was really friendly, and there were costs due on arrival, as well as a standard deposit, but I understood this prior. I booked with Expedia which highlighted there would be the rest of the price due at the establishment (which maybe other booking sites weren't clarifying?). One of the elevators is down due to maintenance of the sorts, which can be an inconvenience, but it is understandable, and there are accessible stairs. The room itself was great for our entire stay (4 nights), the sheets, towels, and bathroom were all clean, and we got a very nice view due to a very kind upgrade. Understandably the room has some visual flaws due to age, but nothing that impacts the stay or cost. Overall, we had a very nice stay at Aqua Aloha and would totally stay again!

I was a bit worried after reading some bad reviews, but my stay was totally fine. They let me check in early after a long flight and even printed a paper for me for free. Got a moderate room (no balcony) for privacy. The room is basic, and I liked that housekeeping is every 3–5 nights (you can still request fresh towels). Staff were all super nice and helpful from my experience. Location’s great, close to shops and felt safe walking around solo. Late checkout at 12pm was a plus compared to other hotels. Good spot if you just need an affordable place to stay.

This older hotel building doesn't have the best appearance. However, it does have good amenities. Pure water dispenser, ice machine 2 areas to park overnight for a fee, elevator, nice view from windows. The windows have heavy light blocking drapes and there are 2 chairs to sit outside on balcony. Easy walk to nearby places. Daily fee for amenities too.

Great price for Waikīkī! The location is super convenient, just a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Perfect value stay—I’d definitely come back!

We are actually in an Airbnb here but it has been fantastic. The room is clean and well organized to maximize the space and it has the amenities we need to have our own breakfast. Shower pressure is great and great warm water. Sometimes it’s about the small things that really make a place. Clean room as well. Hotel only had one functioning elevator but we haven’t really had an issue with too long of waits. We tend to take the stairs down and only take the elevator up.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 days and had a positive experience. The staff was incredibly kind and willing to assist whenever needed. The location was ideal, making my stay convenient. It’s a wonderful, budget-friendly option. Keep in mind that rooms are typically serviced every 3 days, but with a 24-hour notice, they can come sooner. I traveled alone and felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a welcoming and affordable place to stay.

Got this hotel last minute when our van rental didn’t end up working out. Great location walking distance to greats shops, restaurants, and the beach. Great hospitality, gave me free chocolate for my birthday! Also, we managed to find free parking near by on the canal! Would highly recommend for a cheap good experience!
